Binary Gray cancelled with Alterna / Site Updated

April 22, 2018

I'm sad to announce that Binary Gray will not be released by Alterna later this year.  There were too many unfortunate technical issues to prep the book for printing on their newsprint paper, which meant recoloring the entire 12-issue series at a cost I couldn't afford.

I can't say enough good things about Alterna and they're help throughout this frustrating situation and I'll still have some short horror stories released this Fall through their "It Came Out On A Wednesday" anthology series, which I'm really looking forward to.

I think it's important to note this latest bump in the road.  It's not the first and certainly won't be the last.  I've had similar situations with IDW and Image and it's just how things happen sometimes.  If I'm upset about anything it's that no one will get to see the amazing covers that Rowel and Jasen put together for the new release.  Really amazing and exciting stuff.

Here are a couple for you to check out!

When these things inevitably happen, you don't have to like it but there's no reason to crawl away or hide.  You just make a choice to get back on the horse.  I'm happy to say I have no shortage of stories to tell and there will be plenty of good news coming in the future - maybe VERY soon, so stay tuned.

I have some new plans for the site, which I've definitely neglected over the last few months.  You'll notice a new CONTACT page with fresh bananas, and updates to the home page with more of an "About Me" type of intro, as well as interior page samples for all of the books in the shop.

I'm still trying to find new ways to drive traffic here, so please please please, share the site, tell your friends to sign up or check out the books, etc.

Thanks to everyone for all of the love and support I've received.  It's not an easy business.  You either love the creative process enough to deal with it or try and find ways to build an audience on your own.

More news coming soon - thanks for reading!

Chris
