Visual Storytelling for Writers and Artists

August 24, 2017

Well, hello there!

Apologies for the long delay, but the process of moving, (selling and buying a house at the same time), was fraught with drama and delays!  Thankfully, everything worked out and I was able to get moved in and I've been settling in and nesting in the new house.  (My favorite!)

Beyond the moving and hauling and unpacking and sweating and mowing and getting used to a longer commute, I've been working hard to get four comic projects up and off.  Some of these are slowing down and some are ramping up.  New writing projects are in the works and since I didn't have enough going on, I decided to create a Meetup group called... you guessed it...

VISUAL STORYTELLING FOR WRITERS AND ARTISTS!

Unfortunately for internet land, this won't be too useful unless you live in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area, but I'm really excited for this.  Having these discussions with beginning and established writers and artists is always a blast.  If you're on the path, there's always something new to learn or absorb.  I'd like to get into technique, different mediums, genres, etc.  I think it's going to be a blast!

In comic news - here's a sneak peak at the cover for one of the new projects I'm working on with Justin Castaneda.  It's called "WELCOME TO DAHMERVILLE" and it focuses on a young boy and his mother, who move from the big city to a small town where things are NOT what they seem.  I had a ton of fun working on this horror/comedy.

I'm a little sad I didn't get to talk summer movies on here due to the move, but there are plenty of big films on the way, so I'll try and make up for it.

That's all for now.  I'll be back very soon with a full report from Rose City Comic Con and Portland, Oregon!

Thanks for reading!
